Vinous 85-88

Medium red with a palish rim. Musky aromas of red berries, coffee, game and leather. Supple and sweet, with modest depth. Not especially long but finishes with attractive sweetness. [Stephen Tanzer, 03/01/2009]

Robert Parker 90

Tasted at the Domaine. This Chambolle has a very minerally nose, expressive now with pert raspberry and wild strawberry, just a touch of iron filings. Nice definition. The palate is focused on the entry, very supple with noticeable new oak, that lavish style that Cathiard pulls off so well. Vosne-like texture on the finish that just lacks a little depth.
