Vinous 95
The 2021 Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts 1er Cru certainly reveals the stem addition on the nose, but there is plenty of dark berry fruit intermixed with marine scents. The palate improves in the glass. The whole cluster defines the wine, grainy in texture, linear and focused with an overly peppery yet persistent finish. It is of the Dujac style that divided the room and though I was dismissive at first, I feel there is a serious Malconsorts that simply needs time. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
